Katie’s massage therapy education started at Tidwater Technical School in Chesapeake, VA and since graduation in February 2007, she has completed continuing education courses in Neuromuscular Therapy, Hot Stone Therapy, Massage for Headaches/Migraines, and certifications in Equine Sports Massage and Canine Massage all while gaining irreplaceable field experience in a bustling and demanding physical therapy office in the Great Neck area of Virginia Beach. Since July 2010, Katie has been a part time instructor in the Massage Therapy Department at Centura College (formerly Tidewater Technical School) in Chesapeake, VA which allows her to share the career that she loves. Her competition career with numerous horses spans several disciplines including Hunters, Jumpers, Combined Training, Gymkhana and Team Sorting with a specialty and focus in Dressage. Her equestrian background is paramount to addressing the common muscular dysfunctions that typically face horses and riders from the competition arena to the trail and everywhere in between.
